Palestine Education Crisis Appeal
Amid the ongoing crisis, education in Gaza is under attack. However, around 88,000 students and 4800 staff members are fighting to continue learning and teaching despite destroyed campuses, tents replacing classrooms, and a lack of essential resources.
Students and staff at the Islamic University of Gaza (IUG) have shown exceptional resilience by resuming the educational process through online teaching since July 2024 to pursue their dreams.
Approximately 63% of students have succeeded to finish the first semester amid war and dire situation of hunger, insecurity, bombing, and displacement in the Gaza Strip without shelters and homes. Furthermore, 12,384 University students are currently registered to study at IUG for the second semester. However, the continuity of these achievements requires resources that the university and the community lack.

Why to donate?
The devastating impact of the ongoing war has left all students unable to cover study expenses after losing all their belongings during displacement, nevertheless they still have the hope which we witness by them registering to study even during war. However without support, the university will not be able to continue delivering its services and the consequences will be far
- Students: Thousands of students risk losing their opportunity to pursue education. Without it, their ability to contribute to Gaza’s rebuilding efforts is threatened, endangering their futures.
- Staff: Faculty and staff face unemployment, exacerbating poverty and hardship for their families. This situation increases the risk of a brain drain, as skilled professionals may seek opportunities elsewhere.
- Community: The loss of higher education resources will accelerate the spread of illiteracy, depriving Gaza’s society of a generation equipped to lead recovery and development.
